The Best People & Products from Across the Universe

Welcome to Mission Control for runners. You’ve officially landed at the Intergalactic Running Company, the galaxy’s most definitely-not-real run specialty store and home to some very real opinions about the best running techniques, trails, events, shoes, apparel, and gear in the universe.

This page is all about our crew of seasoned runners, shoe nerds, and legitimate space cadets highlight their backgrounds and the products they’d trust on everything from daily training miles to interstellar multi-parsec binges of madness. Think of it as an about us page with a peppering of mansplaining masked as expert advice to add a little cosmic chaos.

Now, full transparency before we blast off: This store is a demo. The Intergalactic Running Company exists to show what’s possible inside a modern running store with a website, eComm store, and mobile loyalty app powered by the Run Free Project. If you’re seeing this page, you’re already on your way to a brighter future. Nicely done, fellow traveler. Tap around, explore the site, and get a feel for how curated recommendations, product storytelling, and personality-driven content can turn a store’s website or app into a true destination.

So break things (gently) and enjoy the ride. And when you’re ready to bring this kind of elevated experience to your running store, just signal us by tapping the blue circle in the bottom right corner of your screen, hail us on the email frequency at hello@runfreeproject.com, or head to Settings → Support in our mobile app to start the conversation.

Clear skies, happy miles, and may your shoes always lead the way.

    Geoff "The Mad Scientist"

Software engineer by trade, lifelong problem-solver by instinct. Geoff obsesses over how things are built, why they work, and whether they'll actually hold up once the theory meets the real world. He's the guy who reads the manual cover to cover, then rewrites it because he found three things wrong. No fluff, no trend-chasing, no patience for anything held together by hope. If Geoff trusts it, it's earned that trust the hard way, probably under load, definitely twice.

    David "The Daredevil"

Outdoorsman by passion, professional by necessity. David is always looking for ways to squeeze more adventure into an ordinary Tuesday, usually scalin' walls and takin' calls in the same afternoon. He treats the great outdoors as his real office and the actual office as a temporary inconvenience between trips. Innovative, restless, and allergic to sitting still, David's happiest when there's dirt on his boots and just enough signal to check the ticket status.

    Dave "The Strategist"

Dave's the kind of guy who treats preparation like a competitive sport. Whether he's biking, boating, brewing, or building workflows in his head that none of us asked for, Dave's always got the right gear and a plan for what happens next, plus a backup plan, plus a backup to the backup. Practical, dialed-in, and just rugged enough to look cool without trying too hard. If it solves a problem that doesn't exist yet, Dave already owns two and is beta-testing a third.

    Rob "The Tinkerer"

Rob is equal parts operator and mad scientist. He loves taking things apart, figuring out how they work, and occasionally improving them whether they asked for it or not. He doesn't trust anything that hasn't survived an explosion or two, and he extends that philosophy to gear, software, and most of his weekend projects. If it looks like it's been through some rough times, in Rob's world that just means it's been properly tested. The flames and screaming in terror are just part of the process.

    Jeremy "The Early Riser"

Jeremy is our resident wizard, early-morning mall walker, and living proof that wisdom truly increases with arch support. He's the quiet engine behind the scenes, the guy who's been keeping everything running for years while the rest of us pretend not to notice. And yes, his photo is being held by Dax Shepard, lead singer of Nickelback, because much like Nickelback, Jeremy powers everything in the background until something breaks. Then suddenly, everyone's a fan and nobody admits they ever doubted him.

    Derek "The Wild Card"

Long-lost son of Bren Brown, Derek is a gentle giant in the truest sense of the phrase. Former powerlifter, current teddy bear, and somehow both the loudest shoes in the room and the calmest voice when things go sideways. His real superpower isn't strength though, it's people. He's walked the journey with thousands of folks, listening, empathizing, and de-escalating like the Crocodile Dundee of Customer Service he is. Bold, welcoming, and built to make people feel seen, heard, and genuinely taken care of.
